Finally, I must say a big thank you to Harriet, Annabel, Victoria and Simon for inviting me to join them for this issue. And I can’t resist using this picture from the SNB header, because the cat looks like our old pet Smudge, who was a real character, and liked to sit on whatever book I was trying read.

Congratulations! I love all your reviews and comments and think they deserve wider coverage … as, indeed, does 'The Moor'.

Great review and, it seems, great book. I have put it on my to read list. I love the Brontës and Haworth and that means the moors come automatically. Lovely piece of landscape.

Congratulations! And thank you for the reminder – I spotted this in the library and knew that someone had given it a wonderful recommendation, but I couldn't think who.

Strange isn't it how ideas abut places can come from literature. My view of moors was also shaped by the Brontes, as well as The Secret Garden.

Thank you Jane. I've developed a bit of a passion for books about landscape and nature, and II loved this one. Moors have fascinated me ever since I first read The Secret Garden.
